PEARLS ON LAST, FIRST OFF. Avoid putting on any perfume, cologne, make up, lotion or hairspray once your pearls are on. Take them off before performing your nightly skincare routine.
PEARLS DON'T LIKE CHEMICALS. After wearing them, you can give them a wipe with a soft cloth, to remove any perfume, oils or substances from throughout the day to help them maintain their lustre. If visibly stained, wash with warm water and dish soap only.
STORE THEM SOFT AND FLAT. Avoid storing them with other jewellery or metals that can scratch them, store them in something soft - like a satin or silk pouch - but where air can get to them. Laying them flat is a good rule to not stretch or weaken the wire.
WEAR THEM. Pearls do best in a moist environment, so wearing them often keeps them from drying out. Easiest instruction ever?
